Where are you having it?? If its at a hall I would just get a DJ. If its at the house ... then I can try to come up with some other ideas

just as a cute gift idea, you could give her fifity things (we do it all the time in my fmaily) - find four five not so expensive gifts (cotton balls, envelopes, etc) and then a few 'nice' ones and wrap each individually....wiht a little 'clue' as to what it is (ie-Stamps would say 'Stampin' and stompin those feet to wish you a great 5-0!', tissues 'Bless you on another 5-0', etc.) - it has always been a hit in my corny family!

you could also make a scrapbook of pics of you, dh and you.....or ask guests to fill out a paper with their favorite memory of her and put them all together.....

Re: Planning MIL 50th B-day- need cute ideas?

ok, just re-read your question.....what about people bingo, depending on where you are holidng it it may not work, but have people compete for prizes (candles, etc) by having others sign their bingo cards

the card couuld hae things like knowing her for 10 yrs, remembering before your dh was born, eating lunch with her, etc....a fun way for everyone to interact or tell stories....

bad descrip but you can prob figure out what i mean!
