Post Pics of The Table # Display PLEASE!

I love this (look below)........but I heard that people will have to carry their candle all throughout coctail hour...........so, I'm not sure if I should use it!

Any suggestions?

Please post other pics and maybe prices of what you are using! (I'm trying to find a good deal)

It's pretty, but knowing my family they'd end up burning themselves.
To answer your question, I think that it would actually be good to carry the candle to the cocktail hour room. They can use it to save their seats while they go and get food. That's what I would do.

but..... you dont think it would be annoying having to carry a candle and have to worry about putting it down in order to get a plate for food etc....

hrm. my guests didn't hold them during the cocktail hour. I asked the hall to light the candles about 10 minutes before the reception room was open.

So my guests left the cocktail hour room, and then proceeded into the reception area, where they picked up their placecard (votive candle holder) and carried it to the tables.

I think they held them for maybe a minute or two, at the most. And since I used tealights inside the votives and they were only lite for 10 minutes before they got to them, the glass was not hot at all.

I had them put the candles at the entrance of my reception room. (I never really understood why people pick up any seating assignment at the beginning cocktail hour anyway..its meant to be right before you go to reception room)

So all they had to do is carry from the door to their table.

The only way someone could burn themselves is if they stuck their hand inside the votive.

We did the same thing. They were not lit until 5-10 min before the CH was over.
