All contracts are null and void should the band play any line dance song. Also, the only people who will be singing are PAID band members and nobody's drunk cousin Sally. The microphone stays put!!!

because at my sister's wedding 3 teenage cousins kept requesting music...the DJ played 2 of their songs...but after that we were getting to the end of the night...and the songs left to play were the songs that my sister and her DH requested...the DJ tried to explain this and my drunk Aunt actually cursed at the MC...causing a little bit of a scene that my FH put a stop to before anyone else noticed.

The DJ later on told me that some of the songs being requested were not appropiate for a wedding....thats is another reason he wouldn't play all their requests

So FH and I decided that its probably easier for the DJ to explain that the Bride and Groom instructed them that only members of the bridal party can request songs.

The other thing I would add to that is then your bridal party has to know that. The other guests could ask your bridal party to request a song for them.

As far as a guest wanting to play or sing with the band, or DJ for that matter, only people listed on the contract/request list.

thanks ladies....good stuff on here!!! you would assume that the dj knows what is cheesy...but i guess not!!! Noone put 'she's a brick house'...hahahaha...some of the cheesy old school songs actually get some of the older people dancing...feel like there has to be a balance for everyone!!
Good idea with the request thing....being only for the bridal party....thanks again everyone...keep posting!!!
