I did it!! I personalized my aisle runner
After seeing MCD015 and Azoodie aisle runners, I decided to do it myself!! The project wasn't too hard. In fact the most difficult thing was deciding which paint brush to use.Ignore the shadow that you see underneath, that's just the blown up words.
I tried to post them in here, but the resizing emails are taking too long. Click on the album link to see them!
DIY aisle runner
My church only allows non-slip runners, so I bought it from aislewithstyles.com and I painted it myself.

That looks great! You must have a really steady hand to be so detailed!!! We've been thinking about doing one, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Do it! It really wasn't too hard. Nope I don't have a steady hand. I just outlined it using a pencil and then painted. The most important thing is the type of paint brush you choose. It really didn't take too long to do once I started. It took me about a week to actually start because I was so scared of messing up!

I think so. The BM dress color is called capri. The picture of the color is shown below. It's between a blue and a green. Actually, it's a realy hard color to match. Aqua is too blue and mint green is too green! The paint looked tealish in the bottle, but it came out more greenish on the runner. However, when I held it up to the fabric swatch from the BM dresses it was only about 2 shades darker.

Beautiful! I can't wait to start mine! I've finally got the aisle runner and all my templetes printed...now...just waiting for the perfect time to start!
What paint and paint brushes did you use? What worked best? What to avoid?..... Any extra tips would be great!

Okay in terms of paintbrushes:
Buy an angle paint brush. I found this worked the best for making the sharp lines. This brush worked better than the liner brush.
Buy a flat brush (like 1/4 inch wide).
I think you can do everything with these two brushes. Unfortunately, I bought like 6 brushes before I found what worked the best.
I will post pictures of the brushes in my album later on. I will bump this thread when I do it.
