Credit report, Bank account..Help

We are formally submitting the loan application that has the rates etc.
We already had the mortgage broker run our credit last month..do they run it again now they know the rates?
Do they snoop in our bank account even if I gave them the last 2 months deposits (MIL gave us a gift of 5k in cash..but this will show on next month's statement not teh ones I submitted. Also what about credit cards how do they verify the balances..I just feel like our private info is up for prying eyes)

they pulled our credit in the final week once everything was finalized. They also just went by the bank statements we gave them which showed we had $40,000 (by the time we closed it was down to $16,000 because we had paid off alot of debt) but he said don't tell him that, he is going by what he sees on the statements.

You can also ask your broker if they will pull your credit again, they will tell you.

So they didnt pull your credit first or did they pull it again.
