Re: Where should I go to look at dresses for the 1st time?

I went once so far and only once and went to Bridal garden in Bethpage.
Very helpful and really nice.
I was really prepared for the visit there so I felt my experience wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be.
It was out of convenience too, I live in Bethpage and had to get sized for a BM dress.

They are a good place to start.

Re: Where should I go to look at dresses for the 1st time?

It probably depends on how much you want to spend. I would start at a cheaper place and work your way to more expensive salons (unless you know what you want already).
-Davids is probably going to be busy, but a range or dresses/prices
-Bridal Reflections are great, but you don't see the dresses, so I wouldn't go there first.

Re: Where should I go to look at dresses for the 1st time?

I got my dress there. They dont let you sift through all of their dresses. Just tell them what you want in your price range and they bring it to you. If they had everyone looking through dresses, they would have a mess. They can also keep samples nicer for sales that way. I tried on a $4000 dress there, had the sample fit, they would have sold it to me at a great discount. They know what they are doing there.

Thast why i really think estelles is a great first - all the dresses are out on mannequins so you can choose which styles to try on (and its unlimited you can try every single one on if you want) it's a great way to determine what style your looking for - and try on every style even if you don't think it's for you- my dress is absolutely nothing like what i thought it would be!!!

I have to say I just went here last weekend and had a blast. Olga (the woman who helped me) was more than wonderful. The wait was a bit long to try on the dresses but she would've had me in 50 dresses if need be. They were great and they have mostly all of the designers and their prices range. Definitely a place to check out. You could have a field day in this place. Best of luck to you!!

Marissa

Re: Where should I go to look at dresses for the 1st time?

I love Kleinfeld. You can't beat their expertise. With my sister we went to a LOT of salons, and at Kleinfeld, they just knew exactly what they were doing. We felt completely confident working with the. My sister's consultant was Dianne. A total sweetie!

Re: Where should I go to look at dresses for the 1st time?

Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier. If you're just looking for the style of dresses and not worried about the cost. Great service. If you want to find what fits you first this is a good place to start.

I went to Priscilla of Bostone, Bridal Reflections (Carle Place), Lillette's and Flowerama. I recommend the last three.

I started at Flowerama in Glendale. Then I went to Kleinfeld & Alissa Bridal in Brooklyn. Flowerama hada lot of dresses and you can pick what you want.
