mad at the dress place where i got my dress

I called today to see if my dress was in and the lady told me that it came in last week. SO I told the lady wasn't someone supposed to call me and let me know. She told me they where really busy. Then I ask her if I could come look at the dress SO I know it the right one and the lady told me if I come there to look at it I have to pay for that. That's ********. SO she said if you schedule a fitting then that's when you come and look at it. I told her it is to soon to get fitted I am not getting married until December SO she said make an appointment for September. God for bid it the wrong dress what are they supposed to do. I am getting worried does anyone have any ideas for me.

I would say call back & talk to someone else, like the owner or manager. That is ridiculous that they are going to make you pay to look at the dress. I have never heard of such a thing. I would want to go look at my dress to see that it is the right one. Hope all works out.

I would just go there and insist on making sure it is the correct style, size, color, etc. That's bull that they won't let you look at it without paying I'd be interested to know which shop also.

OMG! They cannot do that! I agree! Definitely speak with the owner/manager. That is crazy!

Thats not right at all!!! I am actually going today to look at my dress to make sure its the right one!! And then I'll make an appt. for the fittings!! You should ask to speak to a manager.

If they dont accomodate you, I would threaten to take the dress and do the alterations somewhere else. They cant do that to you!!!

That's totally not right. You gave them a deposit and the promise of a lot more money and they should accommodate you. You're the customer and therefore should not have to deal with this crap!

you should be able to come look at it. I was able to go look at mine. I would call back and get a differnt person

I had the same experience last week but i'm waiting till june 8th because that is my first fitting. It is a terrible policy to ask to pay before you see it and to discourage you from coming in. I would call and speak to the manager. I hope things work out; i know how frustrating it can be

Lynbrook Bridal tried something similar with me, but I wasn't having it. I went there to see my dress and the woman told me I couldn't see it or try it on, and I pitched a little attitude her way. She brought out my dress, and IT WAS WRONG!!!!!!

Demand to see your dress...go there, don't call and don't let anyone tell you you have to pay to see it, that's BS!!!! They probably say that so you won't come and 'waste' their time.....

What happens if a bride decides not to pick up the dress at all? Does the shop sell it?

*F* an appointment - march in there and demand to see your dress to make sure they got he right one! Sheesh! Some people are so rude, once they know they have your business they start to treat you like crap.... You have every right to check out your dress. and good luck.
