Re: Reception Prices....

You can try the Knights of Columbus in Oceanside...It's a pretty nice place and I heard the food is good, also!!
Rates are likt 30-40 pp I think?
If you want your wedding on a fri/sat/sun night, a lot of reception places are wayyy over that! Unless you have your wedding on a holiday, you might be able to get away w/50 pp.( i know someone whose gettin married next april-its good friday n shes payin 70 pp including tax/gratuity/everything. And shes getting married at a very nice place-sand castle).

If you cant find a holiday taht falls on the weekend, try for a weekday, its a lottt cheaper than too!!

Hope I can help :)
Jeanine

Re: Reception Prices....

YOu can also try Huntington Town House or Ariana Waterfall (in west Hempstead) they both have packages where you can get flowers, limos, pictures, video and dj for one price. I know there are a few brides on here that are doing these packages & you get a really good deal. Hope this helps.

I am sure this is a silly question but I will ask anyway....

Are there any halls out there that charges approx. $45-50 pp that gives u good food, service and decor. ( Not in the Suffolk area.. I live in Brooklyn.)

Thank you All!!!

Obviously this also depends on the time of year and the day of the week.

Here's a list of a few in Brooklyn:
Bay Ridge Manor
Gennaro's
Micali Terrace
Oriental Manor

Here's a list of a few in Long Island (Nassau):
Stewart Manor Country Club
Fox Hollow (approximately $65)
Swan Club

Re: Reception Prices....

The Coral House is reasonable. I'm paying about 60pp in October(on a sunday afternoon without tax).) I think it gets cheaper from dec. to march. Friday and sunday weddings are cheaper.

The knights of columbus in Oceanside is nice too.

Re: Reception Prices....

Try Bridgeview Yacht club. My engagement party was 4 hours, full open bar, a lot of food (we got lots of complements on it) and it was 55 dollars per person. The place is very pretty and right on the water. I know that they offer another package around 45 dollars as well. FM me if you want more details - good luck!

Re: Reception Prices....

You should check out www.weddingsitesandservices.com. It has info on price ranges for almost every catering facility. You'll find a bunch that start off that low.
