Re: NWR: Credit Cards..

If you are a Citibank customer you can get mileage on American Airlines for both your ATM use and also for their credit cards. If you get a Starwood points credit card you can transfer those points 1:1 for American Airlines. That's 3 ways, for 1 airline.

Keep in mind that award fares are harder to get on some airlines. Continental is difficult. American Airlines is actually pretty good - which is why I chose them.

Hope this helps.

Re: NWR: Credit Cards..

Yes American is good. My mother is giving us our honeymoon tickets from the miles she has already accrued with her Citibank Visa/American Airlines program and we are also going to charge anything that we cannot get a discount for paying cash. We are giving her the $$$ to replenish what she spends!

Re: NWR: Credit Cards..

I use AMEX for everything. That's how I accumulate enough miles to go on a vacation each year, otherwise I would have to save money (oooo, just the thought!). Seriously, dollar for dollar and if you use it at supermarkets, drug stores, gas stations and for your wireless bill, they give you double miles. If I could pay my mortage with the card I would! Hmm...that's a good idea..I'm going to make a call...
