Official LIW Chateau La Mer thread
Figured since there are so many of us now getting married in all different years, a unniversal thread would be best!!Just wanted to let you guys know that I spoke to Nick about questions... He said starting a thread with all the questions would be great, and then I can give it to him or e-mail it to him and he will send me back all the responses to post... I will start a seperate thread for that I guess
Can't wait to see some of you tomorrow!!

Re: Official LIW Chateau La Mer thread
How early did you guys do your menus? We still have a good five months to go and Lou called last night to set up a meeting to go over menus and cake... I thought it was really early and also was surprised he called since we have been dealing with Nick. Anyone else get a call this early?

Hi Jennie--replied to your other post, yes is early but hey if they want to get it done, better for you. We wanted to do it in March when we were home (4 months prior to our wedding) but they said we had to wait until 6 weeks before. So we made another trip to NY mainly for that! UGH!

OMG, so funny, I got that call last night too and was completely shocked that this was happening so early! I was really excited though, because it makes it seem like it's right around the corner!!!
I want to taste the Chicken Francais dish... have you tried it?

I haven't tried it yet but I know someone who had it at their wedding and loved it. I wonder if they would make it if you ask... if you find out let me know!!
I called and Nick said Lou was making all the calls but that you can set the appointment up with him to do the menu and cake if you want. They are just trying to let all the brides who booked a while ago know that there were some minor changes to the menu (veal chop) so that they have some time to make a decision.
I am itching to go now too!!

Re: Official LIW Chateau La Mer thread
Im told 10 is comfortable. We sat 6 during our tasting and it was great. I wish we could do 8, but that means more $$ for centerpieces

Ahhh we are working on our seating chart right now!!! We have a mix for the tables, ranges from 9 to 12!! ALMOST DONE...unless we get ANOTHER chnage, as we keep getting.

Re: Official LIW Chateau La Mer thread
I chose from Black Forrest but may change that. FM me for details..Every cake I liked in the book was an upgrade. I ended up picking one I didnt like at all :( I think Ill have to call them and change it again :(
I think they should put all the included cakes in the front of the book and all more expensive in the back maybe?? They were all mixed in.

We got ours from Black Forrest, chocolate cake with cannoli filling, buttercream icing. We used one from the book....I wasn't too picky about our cake and saw one that we liked just fine!!!

Re: Official LIW Chateau La Mer thread
Just thought I'd add my 2 cents that 12 at a table is very squished. The most I put at a table was 11 and when I went by to talk to them they looked uncomfortable and really in each other's laps. I would say 10 is the best bet.
