Three Village Inn or Danford's

Has anyone been to or is anyone planning a weeding at Three Village Inn in Stonybrook or Danford's in Port Jeff? I'm looking for something other than the typical reception site that does only one wedding at a time for about 100 people, under $100 per person. I'd also like somewhere with a hotel attached (but not hotel chain) or very close by since about half the guest list will be from out of town. I've heard both these places are very nice, but since I live in Chicago haven't had a chance to look at either yet - I'm relying on mom's opinion. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

I personally like three village better. Food is good and the B&B is really cute too. I thought Danford's is overrated. JMO.

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

Im having my enagement party at the Three Village Inn this weekend!! Im soo excited!! I love the food there!!! Great place for a smaller party... just remember though, that there is a restaurant that is still fully operating while your party is going on (same at Danfords)... you dont have the entire place to yourself, however, you do have your own b-rooms and what not... I'll take pics this weekend of our party... FM me if you want to see them!

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

I am getting married at Danfords and I dont think its overrated.....
I went to see tonight the set up of the room and it looked beautiful...My FH and I went for dinner and it was great!
I went to see 3village inn....and my only bad thing was that i would have to walk through the whole dinning roon to get to the reception room. If you dont mind doing that or they have changed the set up....
Good Luck whatever you choose...
FM me if you would like to
Erin

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

Three Village Inn is better than Danford's in terms of food/ambiance + Danford's has limited parking and has big bar scene (summer months at least). Although, Danford's is in Port Jeff, which is a nicer town for your out of town guests to enjoy (bars, restaruants, shops, etc.).

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

Have you seen Danford's? First off you cocktail hour is like on a lil street outside. Then the part that got me was the room was so small the dance floor is totally separTE from the tables. NEedless to say I did not like it!

But I havent been to the Three Village Inn

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

In that area I would say the Old Field Club, out of those places I would say Danfords. I have been on a wedding on the Martha Jefferson that goes out on the sound that was alot of fun!

They are both very nice. I would go with the Three Village Inn, but you have to decide on what will work best for you

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

We were going to get married at 3VI - it's absolutly beautiful! My parents went to a wedding there 3 years ago and they're still talking about how much they loved it.

I don't know much about Danfords, but I do like the location of 3VI better. Beautiful for pictures.

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

danford's has more rooms and more to do around it

TVI has limited space in the bungalows but is definitely more elegant. My cousin got married there a few years ago and it was a great wedding

Re: Three Village Inn or Danford's

Let me put it this way - if I hadn't been introduced to Thatched Cottage - Three Village was my next top choice! It was so quaint and nice there! I wish I could remember her name but they are so nice and helpful there and the food is great!
