Finally mailed out my engagement party invites~

Finally mailed out my engagement party invites~

Hello All,
Just wanted to say thanks for all of your ideas on my e party, where to have it, waht kind of invites, etc. Special thanks to beautyq115 and mskitty!!!

We decided to have it, finally, at Villa Marchello near me in Queens. The invites I got at ACMOORE, they came out beautiful and I will post them once I take some pix. Booked our DJ too, I used him for my moms 50th, so I know hes good. He was only 500 too!
He said he would take 100 digi pix for $100! I think thats a good deal, so we might go w/the pix.

Any favor ideas??

Thats funny, June 4th, a day before mine.
Marymoon, it's really not that bad there...It's pretty nice inside :)
And the food is good, also the DJ

Hello !I just got engaged this past saturday and my inlaws are forcing me to have an engagement party. I dont want one casue I feel like I am asking my guest for so much... engagement party, shower, wedding... they are going to be broke! What do you think about engagement parties?

It'll be a great time!! When I get home tonight, I will post pics of my favors. They were votive candles (4/$1.99 @ Target), in a holder (3/$1 on sale at Michaels), wrapped in silver trimmed organza circles (from Wrap With Us, don't recall the $), personalized ribbon (from A&S Novelty in Farmingdale) and accented with a satin & chiffon bow w/ rhinestone (from Frank's 40% closing sale).

ekallerges,

I think engagement parties are a nice idea to have a good time and make both sides of the families meet ALL of each other.
Our parents and immediate families all know each other, but not all of my family knows all of his family.
I could see wehre you are coming from when you said ppl are goin to have a lot to pay for, but if you have the e party soon, even in the summer, if you are getitn married in 2008, thats still a long time away!

Congrats!!
We are still debating on whether we should have one or not, a formal one is not in the budget, unfortunately.. but we might have a BBQ when we have our house, which is hopefully soon!
