Re: NWR-South Beach diet
Snacks during Phase 1:part skim ricotta cheese with artificial sweetner and any kind of extract (like vanilla or almond) or unsweetened cocoa powder (Ghiradelli makes one that's pretty good) [Polly-O ricotta is good, Sargento is AWFUL!]
string cheese sticks and any other kind of reduced fat or non-fat cheese
sugar-free jello
sugar free popsicles
sugar free pretty much anything so long as it doesn't exceed 75 calories a day (I think it's 75 but it's in the chart in the book)
Hope this helps

ETA: definitely get some Laughing Cow cheese (the mini little wedges) and put them on celery. Pretty tasty.

This sounds like a very interesting snack - I'm definitely going to try it, even though I'm not on the south beach diet. Do you know how many weight watchers points it would equate?

It's really yummy but you just have to make sure you get a good ricotta cheese. I tried it once with Sargento and the consistency was all wrong. Definitely Polly-O. I'm not sure what the WWpoints would be though.

I'm particularly fond of the one with the almond extract! It's no ice cream, but it's good.

Yes the almond made all the difference! You need to be careful about the amount of nuts (count them) and cheese but yeah the first time weeks are kind of hard...it gets MUCH easier...good luck.
