repost from Mets board: has anyone sat in the left field bleachers?

Sorry for the cross board posting, but I wanted to see if I can get more of a response here.

I'm going to the Mets game tonight and I'm sitting in the left field bleachers, at the picnic area. Does anyone know what concessions are available there? Can you access the food inside the stadium? I'm trying to figure this out before I get there b/c I may need to buy food to bring with me. Thanks!

ETA: Thanks for pointing out that little error, shorty! I'm going to the game TONIGHT, not LAST night!

I've never sat out there, but there HAVE to be concessions. They need to make money out there too!!!

I'm going Wednesday night - not the bleachers though-

There are concessions, I just know that they are limited to hotdogs, popcorn, cotton candy and drinks. I want to know if there is a way to access the rest of the food in the stadium. I like to eat the chicken fingers, and brad either eats pizza or the kosher food. My friend who i'm going with is strictly kosher too, so she can only eat from the kosher stand inside.

Brad and I each tried calling to find out and got two different answers!

You MIGHT be able to get by security to get to the other vendors. We went to a game a few weeks ago. We had free bleacher seats through an e-mail promo.

There were two concession stands with hot dogs, pretzels, and nachos, and beer and soda. Honestly, it was MISERABLE. I waited for over 45 minutes. They were the slowest people I have ever seen. DH got the first round of drinks and waited 20 minutes, with only 4 people ahead of him. I was so frustrated.

We left early because it was cold and rainy. We had to go into the stadium to exit, and I wonder if we could have gone into the stadium. When I was there I did hear of people who were able to leave the bleacher area and return but I didn't try myself. I would, however, recommend it based on the horrible service at the bleacher concessions.

I've sat there a few times...and although I cannot be 100% positive---I would have to say that there did not look like any way to get from the picnic area to the other areas.
They do serve food there, but also, I'm not sure about your specifications. Sorry. Guess I wasn't much help.

Note: did you just purchase these tix on your own or did you get them through some corporation?

My friend won them from KRock, so she's taking me for my b-day She actually just called to get a third opinion, and they told her that one of the only reasons they will let people in from the bleechers to buy food is if you need Kosher food. So hopefully, it will all work out.
