A friend of mine- Not totally wedding related- scarves, bags, pillows & jewelry showcase in Astoria Queens
Is a designer with her own company. I believe in her work (she is designing A LOT of stuff for my wedding, and it's not because she is my friend) and she is having a showing/sale of her work on Saturday, May 7th 2005 in Astoria.she sells bags, scarves, jewelry, and pillows- really beautiful stuff, all handmade.

it may be far for some, but you can get some really unique gifts, and she is giving a 10% discount at the door.

Sorry, yes she does have a website, but not eveything can be viewed yet since it's still under construction.you can view her card designs and pillows, and for card designs she does one of a kind creations (she is doing all my wedding paper)

Fancy jewelery? I really would like to have jewelry custom made for each of my bridesmaids as their gift - they are picking out their own dresses so I wanted different jewelry as well to compliment their different styles and personalities!Her site is nice but it doesnt have jewelry on it so i was just wondering - individual bags would be a nice gift too! the bag link didnt work though.

she can make anything. I she uses a lot of different stones and metals...she is making my jewelry for the wedding, with pearls and such. She has a very eclectic European style (she is from Greece) but she is very easy to work with. she and I actually have pretty different styles, but putting them together, we are actually coming up with some great stuff.
Her bags are AWESOME by the way. she is designing some for my big day.
Since this is her business, there will be more showcases, but she is leaving for Greece at the end of May for 4 months (she is getting materials and working on a new collection)
and after that and I putting her up in my own little sweatshop! 
Seriously though, I wouldn't let her work on my wedding (way too important to me) if I didn't believe in her work, and I wouldn't refer her to you girls either ( you all are too important to me!
)

hmmm...I just might have to go and dosome damage on my credit card...I couldn't get the bags to load...but I love the pillows...and who can't use extra jewelery...
