Who is/is not having readings at there ceremony

We are having a ceremony, not a mass. I had a post in BHB about programs and some women said they are doing programs cause of readings. Do I have to have readings? Is this something I should ask the church?

I don't think you need to have readings if you're not having a full mass. But I'm not getting married in a church so I'm not really sure. Sorry!

were getting married on site so were not doing reading but i am doing the unity candle

We are having a full mass with readings.

My sister had a ceremony with readings....I think you should ask the church.
