Review of first dance lesson... FH is good!

OK, so we had our first dance lesson last night.
We brought our song, 'Come Away with Me' and I have to say Dennis, our instructor, got right to it and we learned and best of all RETAINED a lot.

FH must REALLY LOVE ME Sometimes Dennis would have to show him a move and he would take FH's hand and FH would have to dance with him. I wish I had video, it was priceless!

So we mastered the box step, twirl amd presentation dip. FH has a lot more rythmn than most guys and especially for a musician, the instructor says they are often the worst, not sure why. He also showed us how to move and stage ourselves for the cameras.

FH said he is so determined to learn so as not to look like an idiot.

I highly recommend you take dance lessons. It's worth the extra money so you are not doing the dreaded 'wedding sway'.

ETA: The only downside is their lesson availability is fairly late at night, starts at 9:30

Oh, Orlando Dance Studio in Centerport.

ETA: Some have FMed on price. We locked into a rate a few months ago and since then the owner had to raise her prices a bit so she is no longer offering our rate. I don't know what the new rate is.

We took lessons at Dance Obsession in Farmingdale. We were married 5 months ago and we have stuck with it, we are still taking lessons, because we are enjoying it so much.

They were on News12 yesterday.
