Jones Beach Parking?

Random question - When you pay for parking at Jones beach do you pay at the toll booths on the Wantaugh/Meadowbrook or do you pay when you enter the actual lot?

You pay at the booths and then they give you a ticket to enter the lots.

That is true for the summer months. However, we went recently and we paid at the parking lot itself. I think before Memorial Day and after labor day, at the times they charge for parking, you pay at the lots. During the high season and the busy times, you pay at the toll booths.

It's easy - if the booths are open, get your ticket there. If not, you pay at the lot. At certain times, you don't pay at all

I think there is a way to pay at the lots considering that if you come from Long Beach and take the back way....you never come across a toll booth. Sometime u get by FREE!
