I'm back from Italy!!!! It was a great trip...but, the time change really messed me up. I took off today and woke up at 5:00 am..ughhh...and have been up since. I can't wait to get my pics developed...I will try and post some later for everyone...

Sorry to keep you guys waiting. Here is my mini review....Basically we didn't have a lot of time to do much site seeing because we had so much family to visit. We stayed with my grandmother, who is not too far from Naples, Caserta, and Capri...the places we had a chance to visit. My grandmothers town is so beautiful. The funny thing is brides in the surrounding towns all go there to take their wedding pictures because it's so historical. The life style is so different from us. My grandmother and three uncles/aunts and some of my cousins all live in the same area. They get up very early and most of the times I felt very lazy for getting up at 9:00 am. They eat at 1 pm and 9 pm every day. And, they don't eat small dishes. We were sitting at the table each time for like 3 hours straight. And, I had to eat otherwise they get slightly offended. Thankfully I eat and will try everything!!! The cars that they drive are VERY tiny because the roads are so small and narrow. The town is surrounded in coble stone, homes are built in cement and are A LOT bigger than a standard home here. They are also structured really weird. Also, everyone knows each other in the towns, so when you pass through, most of the people stare at you because they know that you are not a resident of their town.

Our first stop was a small city called Caserta...about 30 minutes from my grandmother. There we went shopping and every Wed. and Sat. they have a hugh flea market. I did some damage there...bought 4 pairs of shoes!!! Our next stop was Naples...my uncle was our tour guide. First he took us to the coast line and we walked that. The view from there was amazing. We saw two Castles. I only have a picture of one of them. The nicer one didn't come out. We also did some shopping there and you MUST eat the pizza in Naples. They are known for GOOD pizza. Nothing like ours!! WARNING: In Naples, the people drive CRAZY and don't walk any weird side streets at night. You will run into prostitutes!!!! Lastly, we visited Capri. We drove to Naples and took a ferry from there to Capri. Let me tell you my pictures do not do justice to how beautiful and breath taking this place was. When we got there, we took a tram to the top of the mountain. We walked around the area, ate Gelato ( A MUST!!!), and browsed all of the high end stores (Gucci, Prada..you name it, it was there). We also took the man made stairs all the way down to the water and rocks. We almost had a heart attack walking back up.

Oh, the weather was in the low 60's pretty much everyday and it rained a lot. I was glad to come home to our nice weather!!!

I am laughing at your mention of a heart attack walking back up the stairs from the water. We were on our honeymoon on my birthday and it happened to be one of the days we were in Capri. Well, DH thought it would be romantic to take a nature walk before dinner and we ended up taking a detour and the supposed 15 minute walk turned into a 1 1/2 hr walk up and down the stairs that wind around the island. There was hardly any flat ground and I almost blacked out on the stairs.

I know what you mean about a heart attack on the way back up

Omg, I'm so jealous. It sounds like such a great trip. Italy is definitely on top of my list to visit.
