Do you think sometimes things happen for a reason??? (TMI, beware)

I had an interview this morning in the city. I've been unwell for a few days but I thought I was well enough to make it in. I went to bed early got plenty of rest and even took a later train to not be rushed.

I couldnt do it. I don't know what happened. I was fine and then the train moved and I got sick. I got really sweaty and hot and icky feeling (TMI, sorry). I went to the bathroom and actually gagged a little. I had a cold sweat. Then I felt better and was ok for a bit then a few minutes later I got sick again. Really dizzy hard to breath.. I decided to get off the train at Jamaica. Sat down to catch my breath and called in apologizing that I couldnt make the interview. I let a train pass because I felt sick again and then finally made it home.

I just sat down to do my take home Math exam (make some use of the day) then the phone rings. My headhunter in PA just called an Agency in Huntington wants to interview me tomorrow. A job I'm interested in (unlike the one in the city) a job within perfect distance from home AND in my pay range!!

I know, I know, I'm trying to not get my hopes up, its just my first interview, but it seems werid I'm ok sitting here typing but the closer I got to the city today the sicker I got.

I truly believe everything happens for a reason! It sounds like that could have been your reason. Good luck!

Completely, certain things are meant to be and others are not. Maybe this new opportunity is meant to be for you. Good Luck.

Hmmmmmm very interesting!!!! I would tend to agree that this could be a sign!

I too get sick on my way to the city.....not to downplay your sickness or anything. Feel better!

I totally believe this too. In my last job of hell for 6 months, i was absolutely miserable and my DH told me to quit the next week. Now i always give notice but i just knew mentally i could not handle it so I went in and told the guy that i was resigning effective today and i was willing to stay the day if he needed me to help the other staff. When he told me how unproffessional i was i told him i don't care, i need to do this. He then starts to create a scene (he always did this) and i walked out when he called all the staff into his office. I can't begin to tell you how good it felt to get out of there. I went home and right onto Monster.com and applied for the job i have right now and i absolutely love this job. Best thing (besides DH) that ever happened to me....so yes i totally believe this.

I have ALWAYS believed things happen for a reason! do NOT doubt that you got sick for a reason....
