the other day, i felt so old!
so we are doing poetry for our literacy unit and i teach fifth grade. now, when i was in 5th grade, my favorite show was full house. yes, a total geek. so the other day, i decided i would read some poetry to my students and one poem that i read was walt whitman's oh captain, my captain. i started to read it and then about 4 of my kids were like 'oh, this is the poem uncle jesse had to memorize when he went back to school! i know this poem!' and i almost died b/c i remember when that was a NEW EPISODE!!!

I remember when it was a new episode too! I find it kind of refreshing though that kids today still watch Full House.

I agree. I remember this episode as well. Whenever its on, I catch the reruns (if nothing else is on)
