Queens OB/GYN?

Hi ladies-

I'm not TTC yet, but I figured you would be the best group to ask about this. I live in Forest Hills and I am looking for a new gynocologist. I chose one when we moved here, but I'm not happy with her. I have HIP insurance and I prefer a female. Thanks!

Who did you go to? I went to Dr. Charnes on Yellowstone Blvd. She's in a practice with two other male OBGYNs. I did NOT like her. Awful.

That's who I went to as well!!! I've seen her twice, the second time being yesterday. I had a few questions for her, and she was so impatient and rushed with me. I'm not good at exams, and she was practically yelling at me to relax! I am so glad to hear that I'm not alone in my opinion!

OMG, that's sooooo freaky! Especially since Forest Hills has so many doctors!

Yes, she made me super nervous! And she was very rough -- and when she saw me flinch, she was like 'Oh stop, that doesn't hurt!' Um, yeah, it does! I've been to other gynos with NO problem, so it's not me !!!

I only saw her twice as well, but I could go on forever. What a horrible bediside manner!!!!

It's nice to know I wasn't the only one who didn't like her

There's an OB/GYN office on 70-10 Austin St - 2nd Fl (718-268-7377) that has 4 doctors. 3 Females, 1 male. Two Dr. Ravins (married couple), Dr. Beth Steinfeld & Dr. Pnina Bargad. Not sure if both your insurance is accepted there, but it's worth a try.

I have mixed views about the docs, but know that they always had the waiting room full of patients, so they must be doing something right. Out of the 4, I liked Pnina the best, because she was more concerned & would sit and answer ALL my questions. I hope that helps.

I have a wonderful Doctor. He is absolutely amazing. Both of my sisters, my mother and my best friend see him. He delivered my niece and also performed my mothers hysterectomy. He is not in Forrest Hills however, he has an office in Glendale and in Flushing. FM me is you world like his information.

Are you talking about Dr. Roberts? I got to him in Glendale and I adore him. He also has a female associate if you prefer a female doctor.

I go to Dr. Sekar in Elmhurst, Queens. She is wonderful. If you want her # just let me know.

He isn't my dr, but he performed my mom's hysterectomy as well.

Yes I am talking about Dr. Roberts. The Female doctor, Dr. Gilbert is also very good.
