How accurate are EPT home test?? --UPDATED

I am only 2 days late but was feeling odd, so ....I couldn't wait any longer and took the EPT today. Well the results were a very CLEAR POSITIVE, but....I am not sure how accurate these tests are.

I went to Quest for a blood test but won't have the results until Saturday, and I am so impatient!! I don't post much but I am 38 and DH and I have been trying for a while -- in fact I was going to schedule the HSG for this month.

So ladies, in your experience, how reliable are these tests??

VERY accurate! Take another and then call your dr. to have them test you and confirm!!

I'd say 'welcome to the Mommy club!!!', once you are late the tests are 99.9% accurate, they are the same if not similar tests that they use in OB offices! Do another one and maybe try the pregnant vs npt pregnat tests, My gut tells me you have a little bean in your belly!!!

I have always used EPT and they have always been right.

Just saw you had blood taken already.
try a digital test they are supposed to be even better than the regular ones!

OMGOMGOMG -- my sister (nurse) says they can be inaccurate when negative, but as you say, almost always right when they are positive!!!

go buy a Clear Blue test that says 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' and CONGRATS AGAIN!

Thank you so much.....this month we tried something different - we bd'd days 9, 11 and 13. And I used a tampon afterwards to 'keep it all in', maybe that's what did it!!
