new jersey
So it is official. DF's company is moving to NJ and that means we have to move too. Does anyone know nice towns in NJ that have homes in the 350-450,000 range? Thanks
Lisa

WOW! I lived in Marlton and moved to NY last year for my FH. My mom, sister, and friends still live there. You could make out nice down there with a great home.

DF's office will be in Basking Ridge, NJ. I am not sure if that is central or northern Jersey. I am graduating from law school this May and have some things lined up in Manhattan, so I would need a place that is near a train line. I guess a 45 min commute for both of us in opposite directions would be ideal. Thanks girls!!

My FI and I relocated to NJ (Mercer County) 1 & 1/2 years ago...FI got a great offer in a company in PA. Hamilton, NJ was a great midway point for us since I work in Newark, NJ. It was difficult at first since we missed NY but we're fully adjusted now...In fact, we're closing on a

We just moved to Basking Ridge!!! There are some really nice, but some can be expensive towns nearby. We live in a condo in Basking Ridge. Some towns that are nice are Summit, Milburn, Convent, Morristown.
Fm me if you want more details on the condo complexes that I live in and I would love to know where your fh is working...
ETA: I also commute into the city. I work in lower manhattan, so my commute from Lyons station (station that is the next town over from B. Ridge and a five minute car ride to the station from my condo) to Penn is approx. 1 1/2 hours. You can also take NJ Transit to Hoboken and take the path trains to where you have to go...this way might be shorter, but is a little bit more money.

Another NJ transplant here....I live in northern NJ Bergen County in Elmwood Park. I work in NJ, but to commute to the city from here is less than 1 hour.

I grew up in Hamilton! It's a great town. Also nice towns near there are Princeton, West Windsor, East Windsor, Lawrenceville....I really miss it. I actually liked it better than Long Island--less congested. I would love to move back.

You should move back!
There's so many stores and restaurant here. Yeah, Hamilton is a 10-15 min drive to all the places you mentioned which gives it an added plus!Welcome New Vendors
