how much does neutering cost?

I just called to make fred's appointment and the secretary said she thinks it is usually around 350....does that sound right?

I feel sooo bad that will have to leave him for so long. They said 730am till 2pm the next day. Im gonna be a sobbing crazy person

350?? That is too much. It usually costs about
50.00 for a male and 75 for a female.
U can take them home the same day.

ok maybe she was wrong then .. I will call back and find out for sure bc that is CRAZY!!!

They said the boys have to stay overnight...I guess that is their policy.

Rodney had to stay overnight when he got neutured. I think thats pretty standard for most places.

reggie didnt have to stay overnight I dropped him off at 9 and picked him up at 5. This is coram Animal hospital.

Otis didn't stay overnight but it cost me $220.00 he also had to get a shot there

Usually the pricing comes from how much the animal weighs...the more the weight the more anestisia the more money!

Peanut was under 6 lbs when we got her 'fixed' so she was only about $100.00. I dropped her off at 7:30 and she was ready to go home at 1...but I couldn't get her until 6 (when I got off of work). I love Peanuts vet they explain EVERYTHING...they even called me right after the surgery to let me know she was acting a little 'Tipsy' LOL

dude.. I called back and ghey said 350 again!!!!

What do I do.. get him neutered somewhere else??

He has cost me SO MUCH money between all the vets bills and stuff and I just cant see paying 350 when other places have it less

nueter him somewhere else. maybe even look for a new vet that is more reasonably priced.

Ok so I had my mom call her vet that she takes our rotty to and they quoted her 170 for everything including the antibiotics for afterwards and the hospital stay.

They said they recommned overnight stays but if I cant bear to part with him I can drop him off early in the morning and pick him up later that night.

What do you guys think... is this a better deal?

The whole thing makes me so sad. Im a worried mommy.
