BFP!! and HCG Test Question
An update on us, we got our official BFP from the doctor yesterday!!! SOOO exciting, it was surreal hearing her say I was PG. They are doing bloodwork on me to make sure that my HCG level rises as it should over 48 hrs. I took the first blood test on Monday, and my HCG is 439 at 4 weeks. I have to have the second blood test done tomorrow, but wont get the results until Monday, since my doctors office is closed for Good Friday. So I am keeping my fingers crossed :) This PG stuff is HARD!! Too much waiting and too little control for my liking :) Has anyone else had the HCG test, is it common? I think our doc is looking to do it since I had some spotting on Monday morning.

Congrats!!! Yes, the HCG test is common. My specialist did it with me and my friend's OB did the test with her. I don't know if every OB does it...

I had the HCG tests too - it's just to make sure the baby's hormone levels are rising. Congratulations and good luck!!

Thanks all for the good wishes, they are a huge help to me :) I am trying to take it easy and not worry TOO much LOL. I am a previous poster, but I am staying anonymous until we are out of the 1st trimester. I don’t even think we will tell our parents for a few weeks, I am VERY early (4 weeks 3 days) so we are going to keep it as our wonderful secret for a while :)
