nwr: i feel SOO bad!

late last night fh and i heard loud noises from outside. we didn't think anything about it (we were just annoyed b/c it was keeping us up). fh looked out and saw a double parked car and 2 guys but then went back to bed. well this morning when we looked outside we saw a car with missing headlights. and now the owner is out there with the cops. i feel so bad that we didn't look more carefully and act... it's such a 'safe' area i didn't think...

You shouldn't feel that way. You heard noises and got up and looked. You obviously didn't see anything out of the ordinary and thought nothing of it. Many ppl hear car alarms screaming and don't even go to the window. At least you and FH were alert.
