The gown you fall in love with.........PICTURE :-)

is over your budget of what u or parents (in my case) want to spend. Do you get over it and buy anyway or keep looking?

Me and FI r paying for the whole wedding. My parents are both out of work. They said they would buy my gown to contribute the little they can. The gown I fell in love with and really want is $500 over the limit they wanted to spend and this is before all alterations. I did tell them I would pay the difference if they say yes. They are coming with me to see it tonight.

would you do the same?

If it is the gown I truly fall in love with, yes, I would pay the difference.

You can also see if maybe RK bridal, netbride, bridesave or other places like that give you a better price.

it is only an extra 500 bucks
if you were talking thousands i would say you would really have to think about it lol

I found one thats more than 500 over.. but it's the only dress so far that I really felt 'home' in... sounds silly, but it's true. I'm honestly considering it.. but I'm still looking also

In your case.. PAY THE DIFFERENCE!! You love it?! Go for it!

thank you everyone so much for your input. you guys have made this real easy on me.

I've heard and seen those discount bridal sites, but to be honest I would be so nervous about getting my gown from there. I'm the type of person that if I don't feel 100% right about something I never go through with it, but i totally appreciate all the suggestions toward it.

oh man, these next 3 hours r gonna go sooooo slow

my appointment is at 5:30-I CAN'T WAIT

I would definitely pay the difference. I would also just send an email to gownfind. Phyllis gets back to you so quickly with a price quote. She may be able to get it for less and she caps her alterations at $150!

Call netbride and give them the manufacturer and style number and they'll give you a quote. They are a reputable company and have gotten very good reviews here. And why not save some bucks???

Well I fell in love with a few at Macys that were like 2300...I didn't feel right about the price but I knew if this was the one than I had to have it...BUT I actually found a dress that is 'the one' and its under 1000....which sealed the deal for me...

I just have to download and I'll have the gown on here tomorrow.

My motto is you pay for what you get. Certainly the dress should be better. If you love it go for it...if you can sacrifice the few extra bucks...that is only if you know that this is the dress is 'THE ONE'
