Baby fever - a happy update....

DH Golem and I drove down to Toms River to visit my friend, husband and their baby this weekend. We had a wonderful time, and her little boy is 9 months of pure angel!!!! So once again, the whole time we were there, I couldn't help but think about being a mom. This time though, instead of being terrified of having a baby - now it doesn't seem so bad and I'm really starting to feel ready! We were all talking about it too, and her mom even kept saying things like 'You're ready' and just making comments whenever I was holding the baby or even tending to my puppy My friend is convinced that I'll be preggo next time we see each other! She is somewhat of a psychic too, so now I've really been thinking about it even more than usual! I don't know if it's because we're doing a great job with the puppy and I'm kind of honing my mothering skills right now - or if it's just TIME now - but I really am starting to feel that we might be ready to start trying now. The only thing that's somewhat of an obstacle is my cc debt and my job. I don't feel comfortable bringing a baby into our life when I have so much debt to pay off. Even though I'm making payments and all - I swore I would not start my own family unless we were financially stable enough. And my job is so wierd - they could drop me tomorrow and there's nothing I could do about it - so the instability scares me a bit too. But DH and I were talking about it last night and he doesnt think we would have a problem financially - I'm just a worrywart when it comes to having enough money! So, just a little update...... My mom is having Easter at her house and I think it would be a nice time to tell her that Craig and I are ready to start trying for a baby now I'm so excited and just thinking about it -I really feel that I am personally ready to do this now, and I couldn't be happier!!!!! Just wanted to share my little epiphany with all my LIW friends :) I have a feeling the next few months are going to be very eventful!!

Awww, Helena, that's so great! Congratulations!!!! It's so nice when everything starts falling into place...and who knows maybe the whole Time Life thing will come through for you!

I'm so happy for you Helena! If everyone waited until the perfect timing for a baby (finances, etc.) there would be alot less people in the world You know in your heart when you're ready and I know no one would make a more perfect Mom than you You have so much love and such an awesome personality, I know that baby will be the luckiest kid ever

You girls are the best, I'm so happy I can share this wonderful time with such amazing people!! I'm excited and scared at the same time, but for the first time I'm starting to feel that we really are ready, and it's an overwhelming concept! I'll ahve to split my time evenly between NWR and TTC once it's official!

That's great news. Good luck with trying.

I don't know if I would say anything until I was preggo though, it can become tiring to hear 'are you pregnant yet?' over and over.

I'm also apprehensive...I don't know if I'm ready.
