I am sure that I speak for most of us when I say it is our pleasure to help a fellow bride when they are feeling down. I think what you have been experiencing is more natural than unnatural.Family is never lost. Those of you who are tight will stay tight, but that is entirely up to you. Whenever I would fight with my siblings, my mom would always say 'be good to each other, because when we (my parents) are dead and gone, you are all you've got.' Well, we are being tested on that right now with Dad being in the hospital for the past 5 months, knowing he won't come home. We are being good to each other, honest with each other and trying to support each other when one of us is down. I am the youngest of four kids and I am grateful I am not alone.
Now it is your turn to create a strong family unit with your FH. Good luck and we are rooting for you.

Happy that you are feeling better. It is a very stressful time in one's life. Just be strong and you will get threw it. I'm sure your family will always be there for you even if you don't live together they are just a drive away.

I am so glad that you are feeling better. Just remember to communicate your thoughts and feelings to your FI. This is so scary at times and expressing yourself is a great way to alleviate some of the fear and stress that comes along with wedding planning.I am here if you need to talk!

I totally understand what you are feeling. When you wrote that about your birthday - I just realized that this will be MY last birthday at home...and perhaps I already had my last CHRISTMAS at home!I used to be really upset thinking about those things and there were times I wondered if I could handle being away. I am sure that when I finally 'leave' to go to Jersey, there will be a lot of tears and sadness....Long Island is my home and has been forever and I have grown so close to my family. But I remember that I am hardly home at all as it is and I will always have an excuse to go visit!
Take things one day at a time. I always say 'the expectation of something bad, is always worse than the reality.' Whether it's wondering if you can go to school and work at the same time, or take a demanding job, or move away from home...the expectations you have are usually a lot worse.
We are totally here...and don't think you are alone in your emotions. I'm right with you!
