What is the one thing that you're avoiding/dragging your heels on in the planning process?

For me, it's hair and make-up. I certainly don't want to do my own as I never even do it on a day-today basis, but I'm having a hard time justifying paying the money. I also need to get a trim and highlights before I do anything. Plus, I don't really have a good way to get around, nor any family or girlfriends I can really take with me. Ugh. And now, with 4 months to go, I feel like I'm going to be stuck without one.

I hated doing the trials too! I felt like a clown with all that makeup on.
I am dragging my heels on ordering the invites- I found them and have the wording down but I am still afraid I am going to screw it up!

I know! Don't feel bad. I just ordered mine tonight, but it sure took a lot to press that submit button. Ugh. I hope they look alright when they're all done!

HAIR & MAKEUP!!!!!
i dont know what to do!!! I'm going to be in Vegas and I have NO idea where to get these things done!!!

Also, PICTURES!!! I know the chapel isnt going to have amazing photos, but i hope the ones they DO take come out good. i'm sure we'll also go around places and ask regular people to take some for us.
perhaps, when we get back to NYC we'll get professional pix done.

The Officitant- NICE, huh?!?!?!

FH was in charge of that, and has YET to do it, so I told him that if nobody is there to marry us, then nobody is there to marry us!

Re: What is the one thing that you're avoiding/dragging your heels on in the planning process?

makeup! I haven't decided what I'm going to do with that.

I have my hair girl already. I'm using my regular stylist because she rocks!

I'm also slacking on finalizing favors and getting my votives for the placecards. And just keeping up in general with my vendors. Like I've been meaning to call my limo company for a week now about upgrading.

The Honeymoon! We had chosen a very expensive resort but didn't want to book until the package rates came out. Now, we are more than likely buying a house before the wedding, so we'll be going somewhere A LOT cheaper. I'm glad I waited, but now I have to pick another place

I need to mail out my invites in mid-March and I STILL haven't typed up all of my addresses yet. I am sending them to inkspun.com to laser print in calligraphy

Ah yes, the honeymoon. That's another big thing holding me up. First we wanted to do 2 weeks in Italy, but after realizing we're not even sure how we're going to pay off the wedding, we realized Italy was too . So, we looked into all-inclusive at Riviera Maya. Seems like a good deal, but FI really isn't interested in it. He wants a place with a lot of sight-seeing. So, now we're in the middle with Hawaii. Problem is, we're looking at $4800 without spending money if we book through the travel agent (pay over time) versus $3500 if we do it ourselves (pay upfront). I just don't know where the money's going to come from. They cut 3 of my classes at the college where I teach because of low enrollment, and I've taken a HUGE pay cut. Ugh!
