For those of you who are DYING to know about our new honeymoon resort that just opened I found two websites with some info from other travelers that I think is really helpful- especially if you are going before the fall.

Yesterday, about 200 new beach lounge chairs were delivered & set on the various beaches behind the Italian & Dutch Villages.
Our room on the second floor had all the amenities when we arrived, mirrors, mattress & safe and a balcony with a beautiful view of the Caribbean.Each room is equipped with a high speed internet access port & the TV has a wireless keyboard For e-mail. The carrier is Total Vision, outside contractor, not Sandals & the rates are: $14.95 per day, $21.95 for 3 days, and $39.95 for 7 days. Unfortunately it is not up & running, they are promising me any day now - (soon Come). I have some great pictures of the resort & will post them as the internet hook-up becomes accessible.
I am posting this from Sandals Whitehouse Executive Offices but for security reasons I can not hook up my computer directly to their system (if I could I would up grade my room to Two Room, Beach Front Suite with butler service).
The pools were a bit chilly when we arrived but we are either getting used to them or the water is warming. The hot tubs were very cold & some were not even functioning when we arrived but I checked the one behind the Dutch Village today and it was 102 degrees, the hot tub in the main pool area must be up to temp because there are always guests enjoying it.
The gym is 100%. All restaurants are open with the exception of the Arizona grill and the piano bar. The restaurants do not have the printed up menus yet and we are ordering now from computer generated print outs on legal size paper.
The last couple of nights were chilly, so the ladies may want to bring a sweater.

How long does it take to get there from the airport? Does the airport shuttle or do you call a cab or rent a car?

I am going for a week for my honeymoon. They provide the shuttle from the airport included and its an 1 1/2 hour drive. But they provide 'beverages' for the trip

I have some good pics of the place from a travel agent who told me not to post them...but since they are open now, I will go ahead and post.

The pic of the guy sitting in that empty pool looking thing is actually the biggest hot tub in the Carribean...so they say!
