Re: M&F Florist in East Islip

Was not a fan. We used them for our CPs only because they were included with the hall. We didn't think Maggie was too friendly after we decided not to upgrade to the more $$$ packages. We used John from Flower Michele for the personal flowers--we thought he was 100x better and more friendly, with more imaginative ideas and suggestions, and was willing to work within our budget without trying to convince us to upgrade.

We have to use them as well because they are coming with our hall. I am not happy because they only give you 6 roses and they charge you an upgrade price to mix 2 different color roses! I'm doing roses, so I don't want any other flower.

Re: M&F Florist in East Islip

Also not a fan of M&F. Everything was an upgrade. Maggie would not give me straight answers to any of my questions. She tried to charge me $200 more than what was contracted for with the hall for ceremony flowers and made me feel like she would be doing me a favor by squeezing me in for my personal flowers (met with her in Jan for July wedding!). I gladly took my credit from the hall and did not use them for anything. We used Lablossom instead.

Re: M&F Florist in East Islip

We had a problem with Barbara and we called the hall. TPCC called M & F and within 5 minutes...Maggie called us. We went in to see her and she really took care of us! We went with the 6 roses and they were lovely. She decorated our aisle and cake N/C and EVERYONE RAVED about our flowers. The BOKs were even nicer than the pictures I gave her of the ones I wanted. I described the rose ceremony to her and asked her to wrap 2 single roses in ribbon...those were free too and she wrapped them in white satin..they were beautiful!

I'm sorry to hear that some of you had a bad experience with her, but she really treated us well and did more than we expected. It may have been to please TPCC at first, but I felt it was genuine by the time we were all said and done.

I'd go talk to her and let her know the positive and negative things you've heard and mention us -- she might take better care of you because of what you tell her.

Good luck!
