Maggie Sottero or Corset Dress Question
Do you wear a bra with a corset style dress? I am a little larger on top but heard that it is uncomfortable to wear a bra. Please let me know.

Re: Maggie Sottero or Corset Dress Question
i posted this question on the newlywed board recently and got a mixed response. Most women did not (I'm not - i think it defeats the purpose of the corset) but alot of women had cups sewn in, just to feel more secure.Cubanbride just discovered at her fitting that the bra added inches to her dress and if I am not mistaken, she found it better without....
I think the consensus is 'do what makes you comfortable'

Re: Maggie Sottero or Corset Dress Question
Did you talk to a seamstress yet? I had a similar issue with a corset style bm dress and the seamstress (from the dress shop) said she couldn't even sew in the cups bc was I too large on top and the cups would look like 'two round circles' I ended up wearing a really low long line bra, but I don't know if you'd be able to do that with a real corset style dress. Do you have a picture of the dress?

I was wondering the same thing! I am at a loss what to do. start shopping for bras or try to have cups sewn in. I think I would feel uncomfortable to go without anything

Re: Maggie Sottero or Corset Dress Question
I originally thought that I would not have to wear a bra with my maggie 'Bethani' (I was SOOOO excited) then I saw the post saying 'they' could look droopy so I decided that I might put cups into the dress. I called the bridal store and they told me that with my size it would look ridiculous to put cups in so I'm going to wait for the dress to come in and if I do indeed look droopy, then I'll get some kind of bra, but I'm hoping not. My dress does come with an insert in the back so you don't see skin through the lacing.

Re: Maggie Sottero or Corset Dress Question
nah.. I am pretty endowed and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my maggie because it totally sucks me in and makes me look smaller.I was literally jumping in it at the salon and it wasnt budging and that was a size too big.
If you want to wear a bra you could always use the piece of fabric that cover up the corset rather than seeing your skin through it.
