Anyone tried on this Maggie Sottero gown
Anyone have the Franchesca dress? If so, where did you find it?The shops here in VA do not have the Franchesca and I really want to try it on.
Thanks

Re: Maggie Sottero gowns
Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point I found has a huge selection of Maggie Sottero dresses. I am pretty sure they would have it and if they don't they will get it in for you. They stay updated with all the new Maggie dresses. Good Luck!

It has tiers of ruffles. A lace jacket is also available - more like a shrug.
ETA found pics

Re: Maggie Sottero gowns
Has anyone tried this dress? I'm very curious since the Chantilly (which has no hanger appeal) looks so great on.

It's so different. My mom loved it in the pic but once I put on Chantilly she didn't want to look anymore. The shop in VA didn't have this one though.

Yeah!!! I thought so too. I just need to see how it looks on me. I thought I could get a gown for $500 or less but if this one looks as great as I think I will pay like $900 before alterations. The Chantilly is also very pretty and about $700 before alterations.

Re: Anyone tried on this Maggie Sottero gown
I tried it on today at RK bridal in light gold, silver & champagne. It is soooo pretty with a tiara and elbow length veil (with silver trim).I tried it on last to make sure I did not just like the first dress.
I tried all maggie dresses - royal romance with an a line skirt and royal romance with a box pleated skirt. Neither flatters me - especially the box pleated one.
I tried on Phoebe - with the organza rosettes. it is not me at all but I'm sure it would look great on someone. It has no train though and I want a chapel train.
I tried on Chanitlly again and still like it.
I then tried Evangelina in light gold and think it's pretty but not the one.
Finally I tried on Franchesa and I think it may be the dress. I tried on a size 10 so it did not fit as well as I'd like. I need a 6. I plan to call around to see if any place has it in all white or at least white/silver. It is such an elegant dress although it has no hanger appeal - just like the Chantilly had no hanger appeal.
The consultant said nobody she had worked with ever tried on Franchesca and she liked it too - best out of the 6 I tried. She also told me that she had sold the Phoebe to a young woman and it really looked great on that bride.
I liked Franchesca so much that I was walking back and forth from one side of the room to the other watching myself.
I pinned up my hair a bit too to see how it would look. The tiara made everything come together. The lace jacket is awesome. Not sure I'd really wear it but the bead work is AMAZING!!!
