MAC Makeup Counter (report from BHB)

I went for a makeup trial yesterday and I'm not sure it's what I want. Has anyone ever gotten a trial from MAC and used that person the day of the wedding? I would like to try this.

I used MAC makeup artists for my a few of cousin's weddings. - They always did an amazing job. I never went to anyone in particualr, just someone who looked a little more natural w/ their own makeup -
I went for a trial w/ someone else for my wedding and it was awful.......
Look for someone who wears their own makeup similar to something you think you'd want or like.........that's what I did the first time - the secon time I went on a recomendation from a friend.........

Thanks for responding. My other question is if I find someone who does an awesome job, can they usually be hired to come and do makeup the morning of the wedding? The closest mall to me is Walt Whitman, but I will be staying with my parents in Holtsville the night before the wedding. Thank you!

I talked to a girl at the MAC store in Roosevelt Field a while ago. I have since booked someone else but how she said it worked was I would come to the store and get a free trial. I would have to buy my face powder, lipstick, and lipliner for the day of the wedding and to be used at the trial. She would travel to my house the day of the wedding and do my makeup for $150.
