Repost from TTC: I think I may have a problem ... (TMI) UPDATED

Ok, I'm too afraid to talk to faces about this, so I'm hoping you ladies can help me.

I should've started a new NuvaRing (equivalent to the active pills in a BC pack) on Nov. 22nd. Unfortunately, I had no more refills and my gyno took a little longer than I would have wished to send a new rx to my pharmacy. FH and I had sex on November 26, and yes I know, this was incredibly, incredibly dumb of me.

I inserted a new ring on 11/29 (one week later than I was supposed to, and 3 days after having sex.)

I have been cramping for the last 2 days, I think that is because this is the week I was supposed to have AF before I started the new pack late and completely screwed up my cycle. However, I am experiencing a clear, very liquidy discharge and that never happens to me, and on Saturday, my left breast (only the left) was very very sore in the nipple area; also not common for me.

I am almost 22, in grad school, and living with my parents. FH and I want kids, but now is DEFINITELY not the time- we're struggling to save for the wedding, and I don't even have a 'real' e-ring yet.

Is there a possibility that I am preggo? I know the NuvaRing prevents implantation, but was I too late? I'm terrified to test, but even if I did, I don't really know when AF is due or should be due, so I don't know when I'm too early to test.

I'm so so so scared. I will NEVER take chances like this again - and I will always make sure that I have backups...I tried calling the gyno for help, but he didn't have time to speak with me on the phone, and the nurse was so confused once I started listing dates, they told me to make an appointment. I can't do that right now, it's a money issue (not insured) and I just don't know what to do.

I barely slept last night, I have such anxiety. My heart is in my throat at all times and I must've dropped about 30 things on the floor today because my hands are shaking. I can't even stop crying as I write this. I'm not close enough to my mother to talk to her about this, for chrissakes, they think I'm still a virgin (mind you, FH have been together for 5 yrs and we both went away to college....)- please help me, I don't know what to do.

I was considering posting this under a new anonymous username, but I know this isn't the place where I should have to worry about badmouthing/gossip -
You girls are great - please help. TIA

*****UPDATE*****
Ok, so it's Tues 12/21 @ 9pm - I bought the EPT Digital and tested 5 minutes ago. Got a BFN within seconds (even though it's supposed to take 1-3 minutes) - and I breathed (finally.) I did buy the 2 pack, and I will test again tomorrow morning just to be sure, but OMG i will never ever:
a) screw with my cycle
b) be a dummy and screw while screwing with my cycle/BC.

Thanks so much for all of your support ladies!!
Now it's no worries but wedding worries for me again! So glad I could come here and vent and still be supported through my premature panic. THANK YOU

Re: Repost from TTC: I think I may have a problem ... (TMI)

I wouldn't panic too much yet.
Putting the Nuva Ring in late is going to throw everything off.
Unless you have a short cycle it seems like you were supposed to be starting your new ring just after AF ended and had unprotected sex 4 days later which would only be cycle day 10 and for most a little early for ovulation.
I can't promise anything but the cramping and sore boobs and stuff can be from screwing with the hormones.
It is probably best to test and be sure though and take steps from there.

Re: Repost from TTC: I think I may have a problem ... (TMI)

For me nipple pain was when my PMS was wierd (for example my first month off the pill) when I was late and pregnant the breast pain was on the sides of my breasts.

I'm praying for you that you are just off because of messing with your pills.. who knows maybe the discharge is that you were ovulating.

Good Luck!

Thank you both,

Monkeybride, I was trying to go through the calendar, but my head kept spinning. Thanks for straightening that out....

and 070502 - thanks for the experience info ... that is exactly what I read several places on the net - preggo sore boobies = on the sides.

Thanks again girls, I really needed some quick help and you guys were here.

....and I thought I was only on this site for wedding planning...

Re: Repost from TTC: I think I may have a problem ... (TMI)

thanks for your concern - still cramping, still very confused as to where I am in my cycle...I severely screwed something up. I will have insurance after 1.1.05, so I will make an appt. for then if AF doesn't show anytime soon. Still scared though...

Re: Repost from TTC: I think I may have a problem ... (TMI)

you know, now that I'm really thinking about it, my cramps are occaisionally throughout the lower abdomen, but mostly on the left side, ovary area. Could I be ovulating now?! Wow this is so screwed up.

Re: Repost from TTC: I think I may have a problem ... (TMI)

Have you taken a test yet. It might make you feel better - it will at least let you know .

It sounds to me that the breast soreness is a side effect of the birth control - and that maybe you screwed your cycle because you didn't have the birth control right away after the last month's ran out. So don't get too worried. Your body is probably trying to readjust to the birth control.

Hang in there !

Re: Repost from TTC: I think I may have a problem ... (TMI) UPDATED

Just some info- if you have unprotected sex you can call your local planned parenthood and for a small charge (based on income level) you can get an exam and Plan B pill set. The Plan B pill aka the morning after pill can help prevent an unwanted pregnancy.
You are better off spending the money on the GYN visit because an abortion would cost you SOOOO much more emotionally, physically and financially.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you get another BFN.
