You will NOT believe what my mom just got upset!!

So... my mom, again, started complaining about the amount of money we are 'THROWING' away on this wedding! She said I should of just had a small destination wedding in Hawaii. THat way they can stay there for two weeks after ALSO!!! So.. I ask her, ARE YOU KIDDING? Do you really think I would want my MOTHER at my honeymoon!!!!!

.. And .. she got offended!!!! Belive this!?!?!?! Can you immagine my mother following us on our honeymoon! And she is not one of those ' I will leave you alone' moms!!!

Can you see it.. calling me at the middle of the night to see what I am doing??

So sorry date twin but seriously...sounds so like my mom!

My mom is always putting her 2 cents in everywhere! As she says...'it's a mom's purgative...I gave birth to you!'

Mom! I don't agree with it! I just vent about it afterward!

Mom is harassing me about my wedding song and the fact that we are choreographing it. 'When are you inviting your parents up to dance?' 'How are you going to invite the wedding party up to dance?' 'I think you've got a screw loose...' My wedding...my dance!

It's funny, my mom is the exact opposite, she hasn't butted in once.. Even FMIL who drove me crazy in the beginning has calmed down.. hmm.. is this just a momentary thing, or as things get closer will they make up for it..

My mom does the same thing, she's inviting soooo many ppl to this wedding, but when I want to invite friends, she's like I'm throwing away money on them....OK, but you're inviting ppl I've never even freaking met...I hate it

Well I can certainly relate since our moms are from the same culture!

She probably just thinks of you as her little baby girl and wants to share all your special moments.

Maybe do something special with her - mother daughter - to make her feel better that she's still part of your life.
Or try to explain to her calmly that you need room to make your own decisions, and that she was much younger when she went through this thing and that her mom didn't butt in. (I know that I tend to get annoyed at my mom and just yell something to be left alone, but when I actually make an effort to calmly explain my side, my mom usually gets it. So I will stress the word 'calmly' explain.)
