ok. Im not going to start a new thread... Im just going to post it all Here... on this beautiful, thoughtful thread started by my girl KimberlyBride


So it wasnt a complete surprise. A few people had slipped here and there, but then my mom told me straight out that it was Sat. the 27th. However, my mom loves to prank people and play jokes on them, so her telling me just made me think that it Definately wasN'T the 27th. So, anyway, FH and I get to the hall and we hear gospel karaoke music blasting... i was like 'omg, my mother really made me come into brooklyn just so that she could trick me' But we walk towards the other door, and i see pink and white baloons outside. We get to the door and i start shaking... i stood there for at least a solid 2 minutes begging FH to open it, but finally got up the guts and walked in.
It was so awesome to walk in and see everyone that means so much to you all in one place!!! I thought my eyes were going to start tearing, but i kept it together and started making the rounds to say Hello to everyone.

OMG... the amount of gifts was ridiculous!! i seriously thought it was going to take more than the 4 hours to open them all!!! but we made an assembly line (myself and the BMs) and it all went very smoothly! I got everything from wooden spoons, to our kitchen table set, unity candle, cake topper, and MANY MANY more things!! Almost all of our registry was Cleared!!! Suezboss got me a basket of different colored candles (as well as my cake topper ), but with the candles was an amazing poem that said what each color candle symbolized- from celebrating our first night together... well, Wedding night anyway to our 25th anniversary.... our first child, our first fight.... it was Beautiful. One of my other BMs read it out loud, and i had to keep from looking at my mother, b/c her tears Always get me!

i know that at weddings and bridal showers, and all that other stuff, its customary to give/ receive gifts,,, but the true generosity of everyone close to me still never ceases to amaze me! To have those people all together to celebrate YOU... and the beginning of yours and FHs life together, is truly the BEST feeling in the world!!

a few quick notes- the centerpieces were these cute little bread baskets with pencils in it that had weddings bells dangling from the top and had 'Janine's Bridal Shower November 27, 2004' printed on them, the favors were little red, heart shaped sachets with clear (crystal looking)beads on them (to match my BM dresses and bo-ks) and they were filled with cotton and potpouri.... and the food was Delicious!!

Awww that was so sweet. Wow the pictures are great. Looks like you had an awesome time. That candle basket is so cool! Very cool Suzeboss! Yay! So happy you had a wonderful time! You are almost at the 2 month mark!!! OMG!

Ahhhh, I started to tear up when I read this and saw the pictures!!! It looks like you had an amazing time and have wonderful friends and family - congrats!!!
