Hi! Another newbie- thought I'd introduce myself here too!
Hi everyone! My friend got married recently and although she was just a lurker, she was always talking about the great info she got from this site. I've been snooping around in here for a few weeks, because my gut told me the ring was on its way, and I was right! I realllly got something to be thankful for on Thanksgiving this year! I look forward to meeting/chatting with all of you.P.S. The wedding is a LONG way off, FH (yay!) and I are grad students/starting out as teachers, and we need time to save save save!
So happy to be here!
I guess I should explain the name- FH (NOT just boyfriend! ah! so cool!) is about 6' tall, and I'm nearing 5'2' (I'll get there one of these days), so he allllways calls me shorty. (absoLUTEly no affiliation with the 'shorty' in all the songs lately! hehe) As for the pumpkin part - funny. We started dating our last yr in high school, about 5 yrs ago, and we met on the track. We were both involved in EVERYTHING in H.S., which is funny, because I have asthma and can't run for um, squat. Anyway, my favorite winter track practice sweatshirt was a BRIGHT orange, very fleecy, nautica sweatshirt, hence the pumpkin nickname. Its been 5 yrs, and he still won't let me forget that stupid fashion mistake. I mean, helllo, I was there to run, not to get a man!
