Possible BM dress...Black with pretty brooch

Here is a dress I saw yesterday. It is black satin and has a pretty sparkly brooch on the dress. I really like this. All my girls are thin so they can pull off satin. Plus I definitely think they would be able to wear this again to another affair. What do you think? It is chic or too funky with the one strap? Oh and only $150.

I saw that one in one of my magazines, and absolutely loved it... Very classy looking, very 1940s.
