UPDATE DAD IS GONNA BE OK I'm so depressed, don't want to plan the wedding anymore

Hi Ladies,

I've been MIA for about a month now. So much has happened.
To make a very long story short, my uncle passed away a few wks ago, and it was just horrible going thru the whole ordeal in the hospital with him, to make things worse, since he's doesn't live in America, we had to ship his body overseas. Since his family doesn't have much money, my sister, myself, and my cousin had to pay for this. Unfortunately, I had to dip into my wedding $ and now I'm close to 4K short. Hoping I can make it up somehow. To make things worse, I had to travel overseas to ensure the arrival of his body, and while I was there ( my parents live there too), during the funeral, my dad suffered a heart attack, and suffered another one later the same day. Hopefully he'll be ok...I pray. I can't tell you how depressed I've been lately. The wedding is the last thing on my mind, but I realize I need to get back into the flow of things, but just can't bring myself to get back into these details. I feel like none of it is important anymore.
I really need LIW to pull me back into the swing of things. Make me remember why all of this was important.

wow bebalina! you really haven't been here in a while

i'm so sorry about your uncle, and as your father, i'm sure that was scary but i don't think he would miss your wedding for anything

maybe being back here and being in wedding mode will get your mind off the past few weeks...

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this right now!!! Maybe you could use those little details as a way to take your mind of everything else that's going on. Your perspective on what's important isn't going to change but use it to get away from the world for a little while.

I'M so sorry you are going through all this... I am going through some realy tough times myself and fo about 3 weeks stopped planning the wedding, I also haven't been on LIW that often. I am trying to get back in the swing of things but can't seem to be focused 100%. Things began to get a little better this weekend, so I pray for the same for you... Sometimes things seem like they are getting better then get bad again. It's so hard. I hope that within the next weeks you begin to feel better. It takes time. that's really all that helps. I will be praying for you. Every now and then get on the chats. They do help, even though sometimes it's hard to even bring yourself to turn on the computer.
