went to get the marriage license...... word of advise...

went to get the marriage license...... word of advise...

call up the place a day before you plan to go to verify the information.

Mike and I took off work early today, got home and I decided to call Manhasset office before I left at 3:45..... only to find out they close at '3:15 for the marriage license', i though i was told 4:30 on here.........

So then we called up Hempstead, and told they close at 4:15, I got there just at 4:15...... so we got our license

although we didnt get the free samples that Ive heard other people have gotten

What a pain in the butt! Sounds like the DMV!
At least you got it!!

What free samples did other people get? I've never heard that before.

I got the free stuff only after we said our I-Do's

Since we are on the topic of marriage licenses, where do you get it? I mean, FH and I live in Queens and are marrying at a church in Queens, do we have to get the marriage license from Queens?
