Holiday ornaments (I bought really cute bride & groom ones on line) or maybe a cookbook for couples.

Good luck!

Are they getting married in 2004? You could get them a personalized ornament - Lenox has some beautiful ones including a bride and groom.

Re: What is a cute idea for something to put in a wishing well?

I think you should stay with the kitchen theme - what about some really cool candles in food scents - apple pie, cinnamon, pumpkin, etc?

or those bride & groom pot holders?

I got a 'sixpence' for my shoe (something old, something new...etc) Or yes, I'd say a holiday ornament :)

Somebody put thank you cards in my wishing well. That was the best gift in there. They came in real handy after the shower.

Re: What is a cute idea for something to put in a wishing well?

I love the idea of ornaments - especially for someone who has never had their own tree before and is just starting out.

Also, liquor is a unique gift ... many couples have to start stocking up as they start to throw dinner parties, etc ... and a few bottles of vodka, rum, scotch, whiskey, jack daniels, wine, after dinner apertif's (sambucca, limoncello, grappa, nocello, amaretto) etc is a nice way to start their liquor cabinet off ...

Re: What is a cute idea for something to put in a wishing well?

How about cute return address labels with the couples name on it? Or a cookbook!

ETP - Oh I just thought of another idea. How about one of those cute aprons that says 'kiss the cook'!

Thanks for all the great ideas - i have to give it some though before i decide - the ornament route wont work though ebcause the wedding is in 2005. What do you girls think of this?

get-lucky dice

Getting lucky just got easier. Our set of four pewter dice is inscribed with action words, body parts and parts of speech. Take turns rolling the dice and acting out the various commands such as 'Brush lips against back.' Includes one wild-card body part best left to the imagination. Exclusively from RedEnvelope

Re: What is a cute idea for something to put in a wishing well?

Recipe book
Disposable camera for honeymoon.

An obscure kitchen gadget like a baster or an egg slicer.

I got one of those table sweepers - probably coolest thing in mine.

In my family they usually say bring a kitchen item that begins with the same letter as your first name. So I usually bring a peeler and paprika.
