So I'm in a wedding party....(bach. party ideas)
The wedding is next september. I am closer to the groom then the bride - so it's a little awkward for me since the Bm's are all the Bride's friends - I'm the only one friends with the groom. The bride wants to go to south beach for her bachelorette party - but the Bm's aren't into it. They are looking for something less expensive.
It can be something in NYC or elsewhere - but can you guys give me some ideas of some fun things to do for her in this area.
Her husband is going to Vegas - so I want her to have a kick *** time.
Becuase of my situation in the BP - I am sort of taking a step back and letting them plan - but I would love to help with some fun ideas. TIA

Hi Jen!Since the bachelorette party will probably be over the summer- what about renting a beach house for the weekend?
Or a road trip up to Montreal...
One of my BM's just planned and had her sister's bachelorette party. She worked with a company called CityHunt. You fill out a questionnaire about your friend- then they plan a scavenger hunt for you throughout te city- involving bars, and stuff like that. They said that they had a great time.

Randy - does CityHunt have a website that you know of? That sounds like a great idea!

City hunt is fun. There is a bigger city scavenger hunt, but I can't think of hte name of it. Last year, it was in the beginning of jUne. I think verizon sponsors it. its a full day of trekking around the city, its hard but a lot of fun.Renting a beach house for the weekend, is also really cool. Depending what all the girls like, you can sunbathe, shop, swim all day and party at night.

if she's into 80's music Culture Club in the city is a fun place to go. There are also tons of trendy bars to have drinks in.or you can do a sex in the city type day--window shop at Jimmy Choo and then eat at some of the places the girls ate at and then go to one of the cool clubs,

I'll be honest we went to South Beach and it was $250 for airfaire and room - we got there early Friday morning and left later on Sunday. We didn't spend that much $$$. I bet we would've spent close to that if we went out in the city with limo, dinner, drinks, etc.

I wanted to go to south beach too but the reality of it all set in! We are going to Atlantic City and staying in the Borgata. It's close by and not that expensive to get a really nice suite and plan everything the bride wants to do (dinner, spas, strippers, gamlbing and clubs)! Have fun planning!

NYC ideas:I went to awesome 80s prom and that was really fun!
One of my favorite things to do in NYC is go to Southstreet Seaport- they build a huge tent there and have several really different shows- one of which is absinthe. The show is kind of this raunchy, burlesque, funny cirque de solei type. Once you have tickets to the show, you go to this different part of Southstreet sea port-- the bar is outside, there is a band outside and they have hammocks facing the Hudson! Its so beautiful and so much fun! I would love is that was my bach party! Also its not like a typical show- its in a tent and they have open seating. FM for any more info!
