Hair and Make up Debate...please help settle and advise

OK me and some of the girls are debating whether or not you need to tip the girls who do your hair and make up the day of your wedding. I said absolutely...they are coming to my house at 5am on a Saturday morning! They said I don't 'have' to since it's Jillian's business.

What do you think? Please help!

I did.. just because she did a service.. It's still nice too.. I just can't NOT tip.. I would feel guilty forever

I paid $55 for my make up trial, tipped $10 to Jillian from gorgeous faces

I paid $65 for my hair, and I tipped $10 to sarah rock from gorgeous faces

I HAD TOO!!! I work in a salon

I don't know. ....... -
Any time I go to a salon I tip, UNLESS it's the owner of the salon. -
So, if they're coming to you, you're paying them directly. - They're not paying for their chair @ the salon. - I guess you don't HAVE to tip them.......

ok what do you think is a fair tip...still 15-20% (assuming you like the job)? or less?

I'm pay 125 for make up and 150 for hair

BM's are 65 for make up and 100 for hair

I was going to tip makeup $30 and hair $25 and asked the BM's to tip make up $15 and $20 hair....one totally thinks I'm tipping too much!

What are you planning on doing?

I would absolutely tip especially if they are coming to you
tip what you would like
i usually tip 15-20% depending on the service
i would leave it up to the BM to decide what they would like to tip

I did not tip the makeup artist because she came to the house (therefore it probably all went into her pocket) and i had i think 4 or 5 poeple for her to do.
