The HappyLand Tribune - Special Edition
How do you spell good times with old friends, good time making new friends, good times drinking with friends – its speltH A P P Y L A N D!
The citizens of HappyLand gathered for another other well known GTG, or Get To Gethers as they call them. For the Brides of Happyland the GTGs is a time to really KNOW the bride behind each avatar, exchange good bridal dress deals, bridal sites, share ‘dont go there’ places and to talk of their favorite subject WEDDINGS !!!
What was striking about this GTG was the SIZE . Apx +/- 24 were in attendance. To the Brides delight, some GROOMS attended to show support and really ,
to see – who does my FW spend all of her time ‘talking’ to ?? Are they real ??
As usual wedding chatter was the high note as it always is. Brides freely walked around to talk to everyone they had not met before. To an outsider it may look like chaos, but many conversations are started, stopped & picked up right where it was dropped, with the ease and poise. These brides are planning weddings, having multiple conversations is a breeze. Some of the ‘old’ timers – ones that began the first GTG at Macaroni Grill - warmly remembered as to how well this turn out was. No drama here, they laughed in agreement.
The Brides daily frequent the local bar, called ‘The Boards’. It is here they share many great ideas, shoot the breeze or get into debates, yet always - end the day with a smile. The brides thoroughly enjoy the support freely given to each give to the other – so they agreed that NO ONE will leave The Board until the last bride is married in 2005
Security was tight in the land as intelligence had wind of a certian JOB on a bank was to happen that night that did not take place.
The table was not yet cleared and talks for the next GTG were in progress – possible early Dec after Thanksgiving & before Christmas giving all time to be with ‘other’ family members. Possibly in the adjoining Land of Queens for easier access for all.
Hugs and kisses were the parting of the way. Anyone could see that no one wanted to go, but spirits were up as the cool night wind blew, because the next GTG was as close as the morning sunrise.

I'm loving these LP!Miight I make a request that the GTG is not TOO early in December, my one and only final is on Dec 7th (a Tuesday). So I will likely be home later that week (after a brief pit stop at the Daddy's in Northern VA).
Would anyone object to a GTG that weekend (say Saturday the 11th). I would love to meet everyone - and I know saturdays are better for some.
