Re: Dec/Nov Brides ...Pictures???
We are having all of our pictures taken before the church so we have day light. Photographer is coming to the house at 2 meeting both families at a nearby park at 3 (for all family photos) then to the reception hall from from 4-5 (for BP pics) and then straight to the church for our 5:30 ceremony.

Re: Dec/Nov Brides ...Pictures???
This was recently posted on 05 board and the suggestion was also made that many of the beautiful old LI mansions (Oheka, DeSeversky) are lovely in the snow and very picturesque.

We are taking our pics at the Garden City Gazebo. Out ceremony is at 2 and we should be out of there absolutely no later than 3:15, so we will have time to take pics before its dark.Wouldn't sunset be nice though?

Re: Dec/Nov Brides ...Pictures???
I am hoping to get a few outside! My wedding is a full moon so we will be able to get some cool night shots hopefully! My ceremony is @ 3:30 and I think the sun sets @ 4:30ish , so if we hurry we can get some daytime shots!!! I am bracing myself to be very cold though...brrrrrrr

We are taking pictures at Old Westbury Gardens. They do charge a fee, but we felt it was worth it. You can take pictures outside as well as inside. There is a mansion there with several differnt rooms to take pictures. Check out their website!

Re: Dec/Nov Brides ...Pictures???
We're going to TRY to take pics at Northport harbor after our ceremony if it isnt dark. After that, taking pics in hotel lobby and the catering hall - both of which will be decorated for Christmas and have fireplaces.

Re: Dec/Nov Brides ...Pictures???
We are going to take most of our pictures at the FoxHollow - on the grounds and in their photo studio. I do want some outside photos so we will just have to brave the cold!I am also going to ask the photographer if he has any suggestions since it will be so dark so early...maybe he can bring extra lights and make it look like daytime n the pictures!
good luck!

Re: Dec/Nov Brides ...Pictures???
We are going to Old Westbury Gardens after our ceremony and taking pics indoors. Also remember it isn't totally dark at the sunset time, you have 20-30 min of twilight which can be an amazing time for photos.
Here is a link to a calendar that tells sunrise, sunset, twilight, moon rise and so on times for any location, any date.
Sunrise Sunset Site
On 12/04/04 here's what I get:
Sun Rise: 7:02am
Sun Set: 4:26pm
Civil twilight: 4:57pm
Nautical Twilight: 5:31pm
Moon Rise: 11:36pm
