Re: Inviting Co-workers??
first of all how many people in your department? How long have you been working there. I think you may have to invite them but not sure.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
I'm not inviting coworkers, because I just recently started this job and I don't know them well enough yet.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
I think it is whatever you want.. If you are really close with some work people, then invite them. The rest of your dept obviously knows you are close- and will understand why they were not invited.I work in a small office- I started two months ago- and I know I will probably feel like I will want to invite some people- but, in the end- I would rather have friends who I have known for years there, then people I work with.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
I'm not inviting any of my co-workers, I'm not close with any of them, and I'd feel weird about inviting some and not others.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
To be honest my list was so big that I have not yet invited anyone from my office. I refuse to invite anyone until I can invite all of them. There are only 3 women including my boss but they just couldn't be top priority. I spoke to them all and they understand. Hopefully I will beable to invite them.. if not oh well.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
I invited 20 people from work 3 didn't show. I am so mad because they responded. I really don't speak to them any longer.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
I ended up inviting my entire office because it is small. When I made the list, there were only 2-3 people that weren't on it. I just don't know them as well. I didn't want anyone to feel left out, so I invited them.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
Someone that I know invited all the people that she worked with there were 40 of them but did not give them a guest, that might be one way that you can invite everyone.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
I work in a really small dept so I may just invite them all. But i know that when I leave this job I won't keep in touch with them. So I am kinda torn on if I should even bother inviting them.

Hell no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!everyone I am inviting that I met on the job already quit. Should tell you something about where I work....
I kind of get the feeling that my boss thinks she is going to be invited - that should be awkward!

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
I work in a fairly small dept. of 10 including me and my boss. I am inviting them all, with guests. I have been with this company for almost 1 yr (10/15 is 1 yr--hello raise!!), but I had worked for this company for 2 yrs about 7 yrs ago, so I am friendly with s few people not in my dept (1 lady bought me and engagement present) that I am contemplating inviting to the wedding. I have 1 yr and 9 months
(will it EVER be June 2006) to figure it out.

Re: Inviting Co-workers??
We are probably not going to make our minimum with family and friends. No place I liked would allow me to have a minimum lower than 100 so we are inviting people from work only to make our minimum because I don't socialize with them outside of work. FH works in a very small office so only his boss.
