Poll: How many days are you taking off before the wedding

My wedding is on a Friday. A co-worker of mine thinks I am crazy for not taking the day before (Thursday) off. I was only planning on working a half day. The rest of the day I am going to a spa to get a manicure, pedicure, waxing and massage. I really don't see the need to lose a whole day of work. I only get 2 weeks vacation and will be using them all for the honeymoon.

What are you ladies doing?

well, i graduate in may and probably won't have to work work until Mid - August... I'll probably get some sort of part time job from May till the end of July, it depends on how burned out I am from grad school, and planning the wedding...

I am probably going to take off the week before the wedding and 2 weeks after. I am saving up my time.

Want to really enjoy everything. I say take off a day and pamper yourself. Maybe get your nails done and a massage.

The wedding is Saturday, so I think I'll take off Wed-Fri so I can get things organized for the RD and wedding. But I also have a wedding planner--otherwise I'd probably take off a week.

mine is on a sat, and my last day of work will be wednesday. There is no way I am going to be able to concentrate anyway!

My wedding's on a Sunday and I'm taking Friday and Saturday off (a big no-no in the restaurant biz, but there's no way I'm going to stress myself out cooking for somebody else's wedding, two days before mine!) and then I'm taking a week and a half off afterwards.

I think Im going to take half days for the week before our sunday wedding. I need as much time as I can get before the wedding to finish my final arrangements.

I'm a Friday wedding so I'm either going to take all of Thursday off or only half. It depends on how much I have left to do. I'm also using what ever time I decide to take off that day for my pedi and nails.

Fortunately, because I am a teacher I have a month before the wedding off.

But my FH is taking a week before off to help me with the final details.

My wedding is Friday as well..Im taking Wednesday and Thursday off.
Dont forget the things you have to do like make lists for the hall of how to arrange things, drop things off at the hall...give DJ final list...Get your nails done...get dress steamed etc...A half day is not going to be enough for all that.

My wedding is on a Friday and I am going to take Weds & Thurs off. Then the next 2 weeks as well no matter if we go on a honeymoon for a week or 10 days. Its not like I have that much vacation time but I am sure my boss will 'hook me up' when the time comes since you only get married once!

I'm a grad student and an OOT bride. So if I plan my schedule right I will take off at least 1 week before the wedding. All together I'm probably be gone for 1month.
